Yellowknife, Canada Arctic Kingdom Full time

Arctic Kingdom/Blachford Lake Lodge are looking for a human resources manager based in Yellowknife. Our HR Manager will work for both local and Canada wide offices of Arctic Kingdom, including Blachford Lake Lodge. This is a full human resources position with employee cordination, contact and some payroll and finance obligations. A keen eye for detail is required, as is the ability to be flexible with a work schedule is necessary.

Please note that this is a general job description that is slightly different in summer/fall than winter/spring. Some responsibilities may not be applicable to every season.

Servicing and working with an off-grid community environment requires flexibility, communication and the expectation that no day is the same. There are job requirements that may not be listed here.

Reports to:
Arctic Kingdown Owner and Head Finance

**HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER**:
1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with Arctic Kingdom group business strategy

2. Manage the recruitment and selection process for staffing requirements of Arctic Kingdom and Blachford.

3. Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding of employees

4. Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other employee issues.

5. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital

6. Nurture a positive working environment

7. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance

8. Maintain pay plan and benefits program

9. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resources management

10. Develop and implement HR Policies

11. Maintain and administer Bamboo HR

12. Manage payroll with Ceridian

**Requirements**:

- More than 10 years of experience in HR
- People oriented and results driven
- Experience in Bamboo HR
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels in the organization
- Extensive knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Degree in Human Resources or related field

**Salary**

85,000-90,000
