Are you an organized and proactive individual with a passion for supporting educational programming and ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic academic environment? Join our Kinesiology & Health Studies team as our new **Administrative Assistant**

**What You’ll Do**:

- **Administrative Support
- **Manage course outlines and student record archiving while providing backup support to the Administrative Assistant. Additionally, prepare statistical reports, update procedural manuals, assist with file preparation, and support committee functions by preparing agendas and recording meeting minutes.
- **Scholarships-**_ _Prepare eligibility summaries and data reports for academic and athletic scholarships, maintaining accurate records and communications for each award. Additionally, report Dean’s Honour List recipients each semester and provide recipient notifications for Student Awards and Financial Aid, along with recommendations for process improvements.
- **Transfer Credit-** Review post-secondary transcripts to prepare evaluation forms and collect syllabi for unassessed courses, disseminating them to other faculties as needed. Maintain transfer credit records and assist with articulation agreements as required.
- **Processing of Registrar’s Office forms-** Manage adjustments for tuition and grades, process grade change forms, letters of permission, and transfer credit forms, while serving as the primary backup to the Executive Assistant for deferrals of term work and final exams.

Position Requirements

**What You’ll Bring to this Position**:

- Graduation from Grade 12 supplemented by a recognized business course
- Three years related experience Combination of education and experience may be considered.

**Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role**:

- Familiarity with University registration procedures and Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies’ academic and non-credit programs, policies and procedures an asset
- Must be capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Effective oral and written communication skills are required with the demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
- Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Knowledge of Banner and/or familiarly with enterprise information management systems is an asset
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships exercising a considerable degree of judgment and discretion regarding sensitive and confidential matters and materials
- Demonstrated knowledge of cash management principles required including experience with cash registers, POS, and cash reconciliation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high traffic environment
