The Community Animator (CA) is often the first person or voice our clients and external partners interacts with when they engage with the ANKOBEA Fatherhood Initiative (TFI). In this role, the CA is responsible for providing facilitation support for our Community Conversations series, supporting dialogue that will help shape the work of TFI and its community partners. The role involves navigating many different components within the Community Conversations project, while also welcoming people so they immediately feel well-served.

**Responsibilities**
- Recruit men, fathers and other engaged community members in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to participate in Community Conversations hosted by TFI
- Promote discussion during Community Conversations. Ensure that each participant has an opportunity to contribute, and keep the process on track and moving forward.
- Help participants review information shared during Community Conversation events
- Perform outreach activities to engage ACB & racialized fathers and families that would benefit from TFI supports, including mentoring sessions, groups discussions outside of the Community Conversations series.
- Works in a collaborative manner and provides input to research and preparation of programs and events; collaborates with team to provide input to design, implementation and coordination of outreach strategy and plan
- Completes documentation for daily observations (where required) and weekly recruitment and participation reports for informal and formal evaluations for all ANKOBEA Fatherhood Initiative programs and events
- Participate in the setting of community engagement goals and measures and determining how to assess the quality and impact of ANKOBEA Fatherhood Initiative community engagement activities.
- Other duties as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $16.50 per hour

While COVID-19 precautions have been lifted in the City of Toronto, TFI staff must remain flexible in the event masks are asked to be worn and physical distancing measures are required in select public spaces.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Scarborough, ON
