**ACSA is a nonprofit, multi service agency at the heart of Agincourt addressing needs and empowering children, youth, newcomers, homeless, and otherwise underserved communities. Our core programs include housing and outreach programs, food security programs, newcomer services, youth outreach and therapy programs, child and family programs, early years’ programs, computer access programs, and community engagement.**

**Summary of Job Functions**

The ACSA Chester Le Community Corner is currently seeking a part-time Administrative and Engagement Worker to support the administrative and engagement functions of the space. This includes providing reception supports to clients, community members, staff and partners accessing the space, as well as conducting outreach and engagement initiatives. The position will work to ensure the space is animated with programs that are relevant to the Chester Le community. The position will need to demonstrate creativity and innovation as engagement and programming balances the reality of the pandemic with the needs of the community.

**Duties include**:

- Providing reception support to the Chester Le space, including acting as the first point of contact for people entering the space and connecting individuals to programs and services
- Connect with Chester Le residents to promote ACSA programs, provide relevant resources and materials, and other initiatives applicable towards resident interests
- Support in developing and organizing community events
- Maintain regular communication with CLCC teams, including Youth Workers, Youth Violence Prevention team and Food Security team, assisting in engagement and admin pieces when necessary
- Engage seniors, adults, and youth in CLCC program activities by building relationships and communicating professionally and efficiently
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed within the space including COVID-19 rules of conduct such as routine cleaning of the space, social distancing and screening all individuals entering CLCC
- Perform the responsibilities of the position consistent with the policies of ACSA
- Participate in agency Staff and department meetings as required
- Provide other service and carry out other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 1 year of administrative/reception experience and experience working in a social service environment.
- Behaviour management experience with youth and children
- Strong computer/technology skills, including the ability to work with MS Office, Canva and various social media platforms
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the needs of a multicultural, multiracial community and Toronto Community Housing
- Knowledge of Scarborough resources for residents
- Experience in conducting community engagement and in supporting resident/grassroots initiatives
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to diffuse volatile situations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure and in a busy environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Available for flexible hours, some evenings and weekends may be required
- Ability to speak a second language representing Chester Le community considered an asset (Arabic, Mandarin)
- Effective team player in an interdisciplinary setting
- Current police reference check is mandatory
- CPR and First Aid Certification an asset
