There is a full-time temporary Department Administrator position for up to February 19th, 2024, available which is located at our Oshawa office. This position will support two Service Directors. The start date of this position will be determined in consultation with the immediate supervisor.

SUMMARY:
To provide a full range of confidential secretarial and support services to the Service Directors. To assist the Service Directors in co-ordinating projects. To act as administrative back-up for other Administrative Assistant positions when required. To record, distribute and maintain minutes of all meetings with supervisory staff

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
**Educational Requirements**:
A 2-year diploma in office or business administration or secretarial studies or equivalent; with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, software for word processing and desktop publishing and Excel.

**Experience**:
A minimum of 3 years experience in progressively responsible secretarial or administrative assistant positions. Proficiency in a second language an asset.

Excellent organization skills: ability to work independently and in a team environment; ability to effectively deal with conflicting and changing demands; excellent attention to detail; maintenance of a high level of confidentiality.

**Salary**: $48,705.00-$63,870.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

- OSHAWA, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
