**Salary range**: $93,500 to $126,00 annually
SUMMARY
As the HR Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing processes, technologies, data and reporting to enhance the delivery of HR services. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, leveraging the use of technology, and implementing recommendations in collaboration with team members. Your role will be crucial in developing solutions to enhance workforce management, employee engagement, HR processes, and data-driven decisions.
This position is based out of the British Columbia Nurses’ Union office in Burnaby.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
**1. Process Improvement**:
- Enhance or develop processes, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency, reduce administrative burdens, and improve service.
- Create process maps and documentation.
- Work closely with the HR team and other leaders to identify challenges and opportunities for process improvements.
- Develop templates, job aids, and other training materials.
**2. Data Management, Metrics, Analysis and Reporting**:
- Provide ongoing data management, including reviewing accuracy and integrity, and cleaning data and files as required.
- Develop and implements key statistical reporting.
- Create and distribute regular reports on HR initiatives.
- Analyze trends and present analysis and recommendations.
3. Systems & Tool Management
- Work with HR team, and other teams if needed, to design and implement new systems or processes to enhance HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance development, payroll and benefits, and workforce management.
- Collaborate with IT or external vendors to ensure systems are running effectively and that user needs are met.
- Monitor HR system requirements and makes upgrades and modifications where necessary.
- Design, develop, modify, and maintain systems configuration to meet operational needs and requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of system enhancements and best practices.
- Lead and facilitate the rollout of new systems and upgrades.
- Perform testing of configuration and troubleshoot problems.
- Create and maintain accurate system documentation, including process workflows, system configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Deliver training on HR systems.
**4. Cross-Functional Support and Collaboration**:
- Work with organizational leaders to understand their business needs and challenges, and works with HR team to provide effective solutions.
- Provide end user training on business processes and system changes.
- Provide technical support and solutions on HR systems, reports and processes.
**5. Project Management and Change Management**:
- Lead and manage projects aimed at improving HR technology, systems, and processes, from project initiation through to training.
- Prepare documentation, including project charters, system requirements definition, business cases, systems reviews, training materials, system configuration documentation, etc.
- Assist in ensuring organizational initiatives align with strategic directions and operational plans.
- Prepare and manage the implementation of organizational changes.
**6. Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Ensure HR data and processes comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Proactively identify and assess risk and drive mitigation and action plans.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, data analytics, information systems, organizational management, or a related field; CPHR designation or PMP certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a HR, business analyst, or related position (5 years or more), with a solid understanding of HR practices and business operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvements, project management, change management, and HRMS/HRIS implementation. Experience with Dayforce HCM preferred.
- Strong technical skills including advanced data management and analysis techniques. Knowledge of XML is an asset.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and advanced knowledge in Excel function (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
