**WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?**

Currently driving a major initiative aligning to regulatory and transformation programs the T+1 Initiative in terms of Requirements, Design, Architect, Development and Delivery globally across Market Business Services technology. Responsibilities will include a collaboration and project deliverables, technology solutioning with other technology streams including Settlements and clearing, Reconciliations, GBOI and Data Reporting, Regulatory risk and Reporting. Support the RBC Capital Markets BCST strategy and roadmap definition through brainstorming and clearly articulating future prospects, review with leaders.

WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities of assigned project(s) to ensure project objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget in accordance with RBC's standard Enterprise Project Management Framework (EPMF)
- Define the IT project requirements by working with business SMEs and other cross functional teams
- Clearly understand the project objectives and deliverables, establish scope and exit criteria, resolving a ambiguity, identify roles & responsibilities, and carefully monitor and control scope, cost, schedule utilizing Change Management as required.
- Engage all necessary stakeholders to successfully complete the project and ensure all artefacts in the project lifecycle are completed
- Prepare architecture documents by engaging technical architects. Organize meetings to review the architecture documents with Architecture Council
- Prepare cost estimates required to build and deploy the IT solution for the business case. Review the estimates with senior managers. Participate in funding approvals (PAR) meetings and secure funding approvals.
- Coordinate the project software and hardware requirements with RBC infrastructure and software support teams. Communicate the procurement plan to concerned infrastructure procurement teams.
- Setup and update the project in project status tracking systems. Project setup on tracking systems are monitored by PMO, senior management for tracking project status, health tracking on various parameters like financials, milestones, RAID logs, project summary and RAG status.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

**Must have**:

- Project Management experience with large scale projects
- Experience in managing a strategic initiative aligning to global strategy
- Extensive experience in estimating project cost, defining project scope and planning timelines
- 10 years or more of experience liaising with various stakeholders involved in providing IT solutions to business requirements
- Organizing & Managing deliverables from multiple IT and NON -IT teams.
- Prepare project financial, overall status updates to Senior management, steer co meetings
- Manage project RAID logs (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Decision) for senior management status updates
- Review resource requirements for the project in progress and in pipeline. Work with resource management teams to fulfill resources requirements
- Should have experience managing teams working in an onshore onsite global delivery model

**Nice-to-have**
- In depth knowledge of investment banking and Capital Market business
- Requires understanding of Trade life cycles for various investment products
- Role requires understanding of trading concepts like Algorithmic trading, Order matching, Settlement’s workflow, reconciliations.
