**General Accountability**:

- The Program Manager, as a senior-level practitioner on the forefront of advancing the Department’s and TTC’s strategic goals and objectives, manages related projects with integrated TTC and consultant project teams. These teams are responsible for the coordination, implementation and management of multi-year, multi-discipline capital projects, programs and portfolios from inception, planning, design, procurement and production through safety certification, commissioning, and to project close-out. Projects will include transit vehicle procurements, overhauls, renewable energy infrastructure, innovation, new technology, sustainability and special projects to support the delivery of programs which are large scale in nature and/or highly complex.**Key Job Functions**:

- Ensures assigned programs and relevant organizational goals are delivered on-time and within budget.
- Ensures each program and its constituent projects follow the TTC’s project management policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensures each program and its constituent projects follow the relevant TTC’s policies, standards, and procedures such as safety and accommodation.
- Monitors and communicates program progress against the program plan, requirements, quality measures and milestones, and takes appropriate action to minimize the impact of deviations
- Ensures timely reporting of financial and performance results such as schedule, quality, safety, human resources, and other management issues to TTC and government officials as appropriate.
- Aids the program sponsor in establishing effective program governance and drafts business case on behalf of the program sponsor.
- Works with Corporate Communications to develop and deploy program level communications plan.
- Exercises risk based contingency planning. Develops and implements contingency plans and manages risks for the program.
- Conducts project audits as required.
- Manages program-level suppliers.
- Assesses training needs of the team members and recommends appropriate training.

Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC’s commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC’s policies.

**Education and Experience**:

- Completion of a University Degree, or College Diploma in a related discipline, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent, combined with progressive experience in the areas of general project management and engineering management of transit vehicles and/or large multi-discipline projects
- Must possess Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or similar professional certification, or be eligible to achieve certification
- Certification as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (PEO) considered an asset.
