**TRAINING COORDINATOR**

FULLTIME - TEMPORARY (Start Date: ASAP - June 2024)

**The Company**:
Parkland CLASS is a human services organization with 600+ employees. Based out of Red Deer, we provide supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities in Central Alberta.

**The Position**:
Reporting to the Directors of Service, the incumbent will take a leadership role in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of various training programs for employees. The successful applicant will also be responsible to complete general administrative tasks including data entry, and maintenance of spreadsheet records and reports.

Position requirements include but is not limited to:

- Participate in the design of a formal training program for employees
- Develop and evaluate online training resources and various communication tools
- Attend staff meetings to present various service topics and distribute training materials as required
- Participate in becoming a certified trainer in various agency and sector specific training programs
- In conjunction with the HR Training Administrator, schedule and professionally deliver various training classes for employees
- Audit and review effectiveness of various training programs, and adjust as required

**Requirements**:

- Completed a 2-year post-secondary Diploma in Human Services, or related field (International Qualifications Assessment required if applicable).
- Instructor Certification in any of the following programs would be considered an asset. (First Aid/CPR, Pro-ACT, Suicide Intervention, Self-Harm, or Abuse Protocol)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities; with at least 1 year in a coordinator or other supervisory position.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and complete tasks efficiently, while addressing competing priorities and at times, frequent interruptions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge and experience with ShareVision and/or SharePoint would be an asset.
- Acceptable Police Information Check & Child Intervention Check.
- Class 5 Drivers license and own vehicle
- Acceptable drivers abstract

**Hours of Work**:Average hours will be 40 per week which will include a combination of days, evenings and weekends as required.

**Salary**:$2,148.00 bi-weekly
