A strong internal candidate has been identified.Posting DetailsPosition Information Position Title Training Development Lead Position Summary This position is responsible for successfully developing and delivering customized contract training solutions. The Training Development Lead supports the Business Solutions Manager in all aspects of corporate training, enabling the Manager to remain externally focused on increasing sales. The Lead is responsible for working with clients to define project scope, develop curriculum/training products, successful delivery, and maintain excellent levels of customer service. The Training Development Lead manages non-credit curriculum and non-credit product design, development and delivery of customized training solutions for Continuing Education and Corporate Training. Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Manager-Business Solutions and other CECT staff to identify the best ways to deliver new, custom, or unique programs
  • Upon request, prepares proposals and contracts for past and existing clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information and adherence to CECT standards and policies
  • Develops/creates non-credit courses and programs (certificate/contract training/open enrolment) to meet the needs of business, industry, and the community, specializing in customizing corporate training solutions for clients
  • Collaborates with Operations Coordinator to prepare and submit grant applications and reports as required
  • Documents and provides all course/program deliverables for course implementation to the operations and delivery unit of Continuing Education and Corporate Training
  • Identifies and provides solutions to mitigate risks associated with training activities
  • Supports the Market Research and Reporting Analyst in conducting market research and needs assessment, as appropriate
  • In collaboration with the Associate Dean and Business Solutions Manager, coordinates the process to Broker/Buy/Build curriculum and evolve curriculum as required
  • Manages non-credit programming content for quality assurance
  • Ensures that RDP maintains an image for quality training and services through professional ethical conduct and high-level customer satisfaction
  • Manages account relationships from contract signing through engagement to closure and customer service
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, orientation and initiates performance enhancement of Continuing Education and Corporate Training Instructors and staff and where necessary, in compliance with People and Culture policies and procedures, FOIPP and collective agreements, escalates issues and actions to Business Solutions Manager
  • Supervises Continuing Education and Corporate Training instructors and staff for assigned portfolio
Required Qualifications
  • Four (4) year undergraduate degree
  • Proven success in non-credit curriculum development and management
  • Minimum 3 years experience in curriculum design, development and delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Highly developed leadership skills and proven ability to influence, problem-solve, develop and implement plans and initiatives in a collaborative manner that engages both internal and external stakeholders
  • Motivated and resourceful self-starter with demonstrated initiative and the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Proficient in analytical, organizational and time management skills to complete work with multiple stakeholders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to determine priorities, be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in common business software programs (Microsoft Office Suite) and other new processes and technologies such as video and audio conferencing, as appropriate
  • Strong budgetary skills and accounting experience
  • Proven ability to work as an effective team member with others from other areas of expertise within the organization
