We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a medical office setting. This is a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional patient care.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
- Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records
- Process billing and handle payment transactions
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Proficient in using office software, phone systems, and electronic medical records
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with Optical office procedures is a plus

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.08 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 36 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- optical receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
