The NAIT Library is a hub of learning, exploring, and creating. We support the NAIT community through access to resources, collaborative and exploratory spaces, technology, and programming that supports academic excellence and life-long learning.

The Writing Centre, located with Library Services, works with NAIT students in a variety of modalities to improve their writing and communication skills.

The Writing Center Coordinator oversees the operation of the Writing Center. This includes planning, promotion, and day-to-day operations of the Centre, and the hiring and supervising of tutors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Hiring, training, coordinating, and supervising tutors
Coordinating Writing Centre schedule, tutoring hours, activities, and workshops.
- Maintaining Writing Centre policies and procedures
- Coordinating outreach and communication to the NAIT community
- Tutoring students both synchronously and asynchronously
- Creating and maintaining virtual resources and web presence

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Tutoring skills
- Administrative skills including scheduling and coordinating staff
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide-range of collaborators (both staff and students)
- Strategic planning skills
- Knowledge of best practices around academic writing center/tutorial pedagogy

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years writing or tutorial center experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).

**Remuneration**: $61,997.52 - $83,085.08 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. (Classification - Coordinator I)
- This position is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement._
