**Job Summary**
- Dalhousie Medical School attracts some of Canada’s top students, physicians, and health researchers. With campuses in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick, and over 100 teaching sites across the Maritimes, we provide aspiring doctors and health researchers with the highest caliber of education. Reporting to the Director, Medical Research Development Office and the Director, Reporting & Analytics, the Coordinator, Research Data & Impactprovides leadership to meet reporting requirements for research and research funding programs in the Faculty of Medicine.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the development of a system to collect, store and analyze research data related to research funding programs and strategic plan objective.
- Ensure all collected data is scalable and easily categorized into strategic priority areas of the faculty and the University.
- Generate and provide ad-hoc and annual reports for the MRDO team and the faculty.
- Provide strategic advice related to areas of research excellence, and areas requiring further supports.
- Working with the MRDO team, and the Faculty of Medicine Advancement and Reporting & Analytics teams to develop and implement an annual reporting template/system to capture the research impacts of individual researchers and research teams in a variety of ways.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- University degree with three years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Experience with data collection and preparation, along with reporting and metric/KPI development.
- Time management, organizational, communication, computer and interpersonal skills.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

**Assets**
- Experience in an academic research environment.
- Experience with data & analytics tools and languages such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL, SAS.
- Knowledge of research metrics and existing systems.
