**Time Requirement**: 20 hours per week, semi-flexible, work from home/in person/online

Because C4F is passionate about supporting communities, service providers, and families to raise happy, healthy children, the person we are looking for will be able to work independently, is highly motivated, and has an engaging personality.

**Key Areas of Work**:

- Promote C4F sponsored early childhood programming to Downtown community groups and schools and assist them in planning and delivering these programs. This will be done primarily in the following directions:

- Training/Mentoring (mostly done virtually)
- Work with agencies to provide parent-child programming
- Mentor program leaders by sharing knowledge, skills, and experience to help them progress
- Activity and resource development
- Participate in cross-program training to achieve competency

**Essentials**:

- A recent (within 12 months) clear Child Abuse Registry Check, and Police Criminal Record Check
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work/relevant volunteer experience in related fields such as community work, psychology, recreation, social work, childcare
- Familiarity with parent-child programming as well as play principles
- Strength in group facilitation or training in person and online
- Experience working with families from diverse communities
- With an understanding of issues that face inner city families, be able to work in context of community capacity building and health promotion
- Ability to foster positive relationships through role modeling, mentoring, and teaching
- Has an engaging personality with the capability to respond to situations in a flexible manner
- Physically able to fulfill the requirements of the job which may involve standing/moving/sitting/carrying
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office/365

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- mentoring: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
