The Central Regional Sales Leader will support the region in delivering its new business revenue targets. This leader will work with the Regional Leader and Chief Commercial Officer to set and implement a comprehensive growth strategy that includes all industries, specialty practices, product groups and solution lines. The individual will serve as player/mentor to the production and business development staff across our Risk, Health and Wealth practices in the region. What the day will look like
Work collaboratively with region leader and office leaders to identify current and future growth industries, products and solutions.
Develop plans to implement and share sales standard methodologies within their assigned territories and with their regional peers.
Implements the Canadian Growth strategy for their region.
Uses the entire portfolio of services and solutions. That includes our core business areas of Commercial Risk, Health and Wealth. Partner with industry specialties leadership to drive a comprehensive sales plan across the region.
Identify and recruit key strategic talent in the region, not limited solely to production talent.
Develop sales talent in the region with a focus on ensuring the success of new production hires and the continued production of established colleagues through mentoring, training, and coaching, in partnership with National Sales and other supplying resources.
Support the development of National growth initiatives and programs: onboarding, training, sales incentive programs, marketing campaigns, prospect assignment, lead nurturing, activity management, producer/AE accountability, pipeline management, and dispute resolution.
Help colleagues speak with One Voice to our clients and prospects, and actively works to drive Aon United behaviours to identify new opportunities and connect colleagues across the firm.
Annually develop a regional growth plan and ensures each office plan supports the regional go to market strategy.
Cultivate and provide day-to-day leadership and shares sales standard methodologies to the community within assigned region. Operates in a consistent, open and predictable manner so the Region’s production team understands expectations.
Partner with the Regional Leaders to establish clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for their Account Executives (AEs) and consultants to drive an Aon United approach with our clients.
Help Office Leaders and other leaders to marshal appropriate Aon resources to support sales efforts. Helps resolve internal issues with geographies, practices, and other organizations or people as needed.
Drive and supervise the implementation of the sales process. Ensures prospects are assigned to the most appropriate colleagues and transferred when underlying activity is not sufficient. Instills activity management protocols to ensure activity supports producer sales goals.
Support the Regional Leader and Finance Leader to prepare for monthly forecast calls and business reviews.
Performs related duties as assigned. Skills and experience that will lead to success
Minimum of 10 years of Sales Leadership and Marketing Experience in related field.
Validated collaboration skills successfully leading global new business teams in pursuit of target prospects.
Strong negotiation skills.
Outstanding oral presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate sophisticated messages in written form.
Track record of personally initiating sophisticated sales.
Consistent achievement of assigned territorial or practice business goals.
Active involvement in the development and maintenance of a productive sales and marketing culture. Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with Sales, Risk, and/or Insurance Management preferred, or equivalent years of industry experience How we support our colleagues
