**Qualification and Skills**
- At least two years of client focused experience in a health care setting is preferred
- At least two years of sales or customer service experience would be an asset
- Demonstrated Person Centered Care/Customer Service behavior required
- Proficiency in Conflict Management and Resolution skills
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a dynamic and complex setting
- Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows and patient care system
- Able to organize work and perform tasks effectively at a fast pace in response to an unpredictable environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Effective communication, organizational, time management, collaboration and problem-solving skills required
- Excellent attention to detail is required
- Experience in inventory, ordering and entering invoices into QuickBooks
**Responsibilities**
- Have an awareness of and be receptive to the needs of those we support with compassion and an understanding to provide the best service possible.
- Coordinate efficient scheduling of Pedorthic resources using Bioped’s software
- Demonstrate a strong capacity to problem solve and work through difficult situations professionally and tactfully
- Handle telephone communications with patients and provide accurate and thorough pre-visit instructions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patients, clients and facility information
- Handle requests and inquiries for patient and insurance information
- Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment required
- Good attendance record
**In a typical day, you will**:
- Respond to internal and external requests for information and maintain and update records
- Manage communication between physicians and clients
- Work with external partners/suppliers as needed
- Maintain our appointment booking system and triage client situations by gathering the necessary information to determine client needs
- Engage with clients for follow-ups and serve walk-in customers for non-prescription products
- Support our Soles4Souls clinic in donations and shoe drives
To excel in this role, you’ll need to be high energy, eager to engage with our clients and someone with a bright and sunny disposition. You’ll also need to take initiative and ownership over your work. We don’t believe in micromanagement, so we’re looking for someone who can be proactive and identify what needs to be done without being told.
