We’re a Canadian-owned and BC-based energy company taking steps toward a lower-carbon energy future by providing renewable energy, natural gas and electricity to more than 1.2 million customers.

We’re looking for new talent to join us as we transform BC’s energy future. Our diverse team of more than 2,600 employees is committed to a safe and inclusive culture where each of us can connect, belong and grow. Join us and let’s work together for a better BC. Position Overview
You know every step of the vendor lifecycle like the back of your hand. Along with your knack for negotiation, procurement, and vendor management skills, you’re familiar with overseeing Information Systems (IS) software costs and budgets to ensure objectives are effectively and responsibly achieved.

As the IS Vendor Manager, you’ll provide leadership and set the strategic direction, mission, and vision of the vendor management office in alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the technology organization and the business.

As one of B.C.’s Top Employers, we’re looking for someone who can take strategic relationship-building to the next level when working with contractual, commercial, and operational vendors. If this sounds like you, join us in transforming B.C.’s energy future. In this role, you will:
Oversee the negotiating, drafting, administering, and managing commercial contracts associated with hardware, software, and hosted solution providers.
Manage the maintenance of agreements with vendors and ensure that they are current and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Establish and approve internal and external policies, standards, and processes for vendor interaction and governance.
Serve as the leadership-level point of contact between the vendor organization and internal customers consuming vendor services and solutions. What it takes:
A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, computer science, or a related field is required.
A minimum of seven to ten years of experience in vendor management or a related field, with three years of supervisory experience.
Excellent strategic thinking to deliver major, new, and traditional projects that combine project management, continuous improvement, and change expertise to drive our business forward.
Exceptional communication skills to engage with external vendors and leaders across the business as you design solutions that guide us toward excellence.
Expert knowledge of the IS industry and the products and services provided by technology vendors.
A proven track record in structuring deals, drafting legal agreements, risk mitigation, and skilled negotiations.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
