We are looking for an Engagement Manager to work closely with Second Mountain leadership to deliver and grow our client services in the market.

The key activities for this role are:
Deliver client projects
- Lead consulting team members under the direction of a partner
- Manage all phases of client engagements, including strategic, financial, and organizational analysis; interviews and surveys; recommendation development; solution implementation
- Take responsibility for analyzing and advising our clients on the most strategic and complex issues they face
- Communicate effectively with senior-level clients to build consensus and influence
- Lead, model, and coach junior consultants’ performance and progress

Contribute to business development
- Foster strong relationships with existing clients to set the foundation for repeat engagements
- Develop relationships with potential / prospective partners and clients
- Contribute to successful proposal development
- Participate in pitch delivery

Build Second Mountain offerings and develop its profile
- Participate in firm development and decision-making
- Take leadership roles in a variety of firm management activities
- Develop consulting methodologies that codify Second Mountain’s unique approach to solving client challenges
- Build thought leadership that reflects the forward-thinking, pragmatic nature of the Second Mountain mission
- Serve as thought partner and contribute to developing and improving proprietary content, methodology and tools
- Create awareness of Second Mountain content, capability, and expertise in the external community through academia or industry networks

Firm building
- Direct research and develop insights to support intellectual capital development
- Work closely with the **management** to understand the market, key client needs and support growth planning for the company
- Lead, mentor and coach junior team members’ ongoing development
- Participate in recruitment and retention

**DESIRED PROFILE**
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university; advanced degree or MBA is preferred
- 4-5 years of corporate experience; experience with a top-tier consulting firm is preferred
- Proven record of high performance and substantial achievements in past positions
- Demonstrated leadership ability in a team environment
- Solid functional business knowledge, including but not limited to strategy, business development, and project management
- Experience working with executive teams to elaborate company vision and strategic direction
- Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate analysis into recommendations
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Able to think through and communicate complex ideas clearly and simply
- Ability to work in a high intensity environment and lead teams to deliver exceptional results
- Proven relationship builder, with demonstrated ability to establish credibility and build trust with a wide range of professionals across all levels of clients
- Results-oriented with high standards for quality
- Ability to learn quickly, independently, and confidently when faced with ambiguity
