What You'll Get To Do

The Duty Manager is responsible for the efficient implementation and communication of our daily scheduled, freighter, and charter operational plan by directing the available resources.
- Delegating tasks to employees and ensuring daily duties are completed
- Achieving operational goals through go/no-go decisions on all flights in concert with applicable Managers and Flight Operations personnel
- Review the operational plan to ensure it’s achievable with the current scheduled and freighter flights
- Identify improvement opportunities observed throughout the shift ensuring appropriate communication to all that can execute the changes
- Responsible for the scheduled flight operations running smoothly
- Reviewing the next calendar day plan, crew/aircraft availability, weather and what is required to juggle or rearrange to serve our customers and communities to the best of our ability
- Developing and distributing reports not limited to On Time Performance, de-icing/equipment
- Functionality and flight capacity/usage tracking
- Liaison closely with the Cargo Managers and delegates to ensure updated on inventory at various sites as well operational demands to meet customer deadlines
- Onsite contact for charter customers, working closely with the charters team on charter operations, logistics, notifications, bookings, and future planning
- Single point of contact to the SOCC for all Calm Air Departments and Stations, Charters, and other Airlines
- Other duties as assigned

Hours of Work
- Shift work may be required including days, nights, and weekends

Skills & Experience We Value
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment
- Able to delegate and confidently develop and execute operational plans with mínimal supervision
- Prior success building relationships with our internal and external customers an asset
- Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in the airline industry. Supplemental cargo or logistics industry experience an asset
- Proficient in developing, planning, implementing targets, goals and delivering as promised
- Dispatch and Flight Line experience an asset
- Ability to obtain and maintain all relevant security clearances as required
- Inuktitut language considered an asset
- Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
