**Position Summary and Scope of Service**:
The Communications Manager will report to the Foundation Executive Director. St.Amant Foundation's core values reflect a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Exemplifying the mission, vision and values of St.Amant Foundation, the Manager works collaboratively with the St.Amant Foundation team to understand the fundraising needs to develop, manage and execute strategic communications plans that will help the organization meet its fundraising goals and continue to build positive brand awareness. The role includes building and managing internal and external relationships to foster a culture of story-telling that raises funds while promoting full inclusion and valued roles for people with disabilities. The Manager will develop and execute strategies that use a combination of digital and traditional channels to increase visibility of St.Amant Foundation's fundraising and stewardship initiatives to our primary audiences: donors, people supported by St.Amant and their families, staff, grant agencies, volunteers, media and public. The Manager will work cohesively with the St.Amant Corporate Communications team to maintain consistent messaging and branding.

**Qualifications**:
**Educational**:

- Post-secondary degree in English, communications, journalism, business or a related field

**Professional**:

- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans
- Two or more years of experience in fund development within the non-profit sector is an asset
- Excellent, writing, editing and story-telling skills
- Experience and proficiency in storyboards, filming and editing video
- Experience in media relations
- Experience developing social media and traditional media campaigns
- Bilingual in both French and English is a definite asset
- Experience collaborating with key stakeholders at different levels and in different functional roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Power Point

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Program/Service Support**:
Under the direction of the Foundation Executive Director, develops, implements and analyzes all aspects of the communications program at the St.Amant Foundation.

Duties include:

- Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates strategic communications plans that maximizes the Foundation's fundraising and stewardship efforts
- Research, interview, record stories to showcase fundraising needs and successful outcomes
- Researches and writes direct mail solicitations and other donor information
- Creates videos and slideshows to support fundraising activities
- Develops event content and display needs
- Developing traditional and social media campaigns/advertising
- Writes speeches and proposals
- Manages media through proactive relationship building, earned media and media responses
- Works with the fundraising team to develop new giving opportunities
- Manage and maintains stamant.ca/foundation webpages
- Working collaboratively with St.Amant Corporate Communications to ensure consistent messaging, branding and synergy

**Organization Planning and Development**:
The Communications Manager integrates the St.Amant mission and values into all initiatives, and emphasizes personal and team accountability.

Duties include:

- Acts as part of the Foundation leadership team
- Conducts all activities within the guideline of the “Code of Ethics Fundraising Standards”
- Adheres to and supports best practices in the field of fundraising
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of the St.Amant Foundation
- Identifies trends in communications for fundraising
- Participates actively in all Foundation activities, committees and team meetings as assigned
- Attends seminars, education conferences as assigned
