**Summary**
RavenLaw LLP is committed to advancing worker’s rights and progressive legal causes. With offices in Ottawa, Kingston and Winnipeg, we represent unions, employees and social justice organizations across the country. We are currently looking to hire a Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist to work out of our Ottawa office. The Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist will play an essential role in our office and is required to be on-site on a full-time basis.
**Job Duties**
- Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals across the firm.
- Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.
- Receive and distribute all forms of paper correspondence.
- Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files.
- Arrange and book meetings in boardrooms.
- Present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions.
- Ensure that the appropriate evacuation procedures are carried out in the event of an emergency.
- Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
- Maintain the reception in a tidy and presentable manner.
- Accept and monitor inbound shipments as necessary.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Three to five years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity.
- Ability to speak, read and write in French and English.
- Strong knowledge of general office procedures.
- Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
- Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills In French and English.
- Strong written and verbal skills in French and English.
- Strong customer service orientation.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $38,000.00-$46,000.00 per year
