**What’s important to us**:
In this role, you will report directly to Jason D’Elia, VP Construction or their designates, play a vital part in project administration for ELM’s Projects Department.

**Specific duties and responsibilities include**:

- Support the Senior Development Manager with various development approvals, including without limitation Draft Plan of Subdivision, Official Plan Amendments, Permitting, Zoning Bylaw Amendments, Minor Variances, Site Plan Agreements, and Condominium Registrations
- Maintain appropriate documentation for each project on ELM’s OneDrive file management system, including records of architectural, landscape, and engineering plans, as well as approvals, permits and agreements
- Communicate and coordinate with municipalities, governing agencies, consultants, and other key stakeholders on projects, including the coordination of meetings and site visits.
- Attend public meetings and events as applicable.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, meeting minutes, task lists, and other aspects of the project management system.
- Attend construction meetings and track contractor productivity and schedule.
- Review invoices, construction payment certificates, proposals, construction contracts, and process for payment.
- Support various internal departments (Sales and Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Projects) with as-needed tasks and identify ways to optimize coordination between internal stakeholders.
- Support with file management for projects, including entering client information into databases or other storage systems, scanning and uploading documents, as well as assisting managers with finding and submitting documentation to support their work
- Provide various administrative duties such as proofreading, editing, invoicing, photocopying, taking minutes of internal office meetings
- Other duties as required for the successful completion of projects

**Compensation**:
$45,000 - $50,000 a year, 1.0 FTE (9am - 5pm Monday to Friday), permanent

**To be successful, you must have / be**:

- College diploma or degree in Planning, Real Estate, Architecture, or Engineering
- No prior related experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
- Ability to follow instructions provided by Managers or other senior members of staff
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- A critical thinker with the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize workload.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish credibility, trust and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization.
- Ability and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- High level of ethics and personal integrity.

**Additional skills considered an asset**:

- 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience within construction or real estate development industries
- An understanding of planning policies, regulations, and approvals processes in the GTA and neighbouring municipalities
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
