As a member of the Bird Construction Team, the Accounts Payable Administrator will support the District Finance group, Project Managers and Coordinators with timely and accurate project cost entry and reporting. This role will support several finance related areas.

This role is located in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

**Responsibilities**:
- Review, organize and process purchase orders and supplier invoices with accuracy for approval and payment- Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and follow up on large variances- Prepare batches and complete data entry including coding and scanning- Follow up on older open purchase orders and invoices that have not been approved- File paid and unpaid vendor invoices- Review and prepare breakdowns for larger supplier invoices and credit cards-
- Manage various vendor card programs- Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for- Post-secondary educational background in Accounting or Finance an asset- Minimum of 1 year experience accounts payable role is preferred- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)-
- Your strong organization, time-management and decision-making skills allow you to multi-task, manage a fast-paced ever changing environment and meet strict deadlines- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to re-prioritize tasks to meet deadlines is required- Adaptable with a strong work ethic- The ability to put in extra time at peak periods to meet deadlines is required- Strong oral and written communication skills- You have exceptional interpersonal skills, work well with others in a team environment and contribute to the team in an efficient, effective and positive manner- The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, maintain focus and be an out of the box thinker and problem solver is required
