**KNOWLEDGE BROKER**

Temporary Full-time (Approx. 19 Months)

70 Hours Bi-weekly | Non-Union | Day shifts

As a team member with the Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care Program at Baycrest, the primary role of the Knowledge Broker is to work collaboratively to broker strong, supportive relationships amongst diverse stakeholders (long-term care home providers, clinicians, residents, care partners, innovators, academics, researchers, and team members), to build strategic alliances and partnerships, and to develop and implement dissemination and implementation strategies. The goal is to increase the uptake and impact of educational programs, products, research, and innovations across Ontario long-term care homes in support of an overall knowledge mobilization strategy.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Developing tools, resources and products to support practice change
- Developing strategies and using technologies to effectively scale and spread programming and products
- Planning, implementing and evaluating assigned projects for scale and reach
- Communicating with diverse stakeholders and tailoring messaging for different audiences
- Fostering engagement and positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Providing specialized consultation to long-term care homes and stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of tools, resources and products
- Planning and facilitating stakeholder events, meetings and workgroups to advance capacity building and strategic objectives
- Working in collaboration with the Ontario CLRI’s network of organizations to support the adoption of Ontario CLRI innovations
- Playing an active role in implementing Ontario CLRI’s knowledge mobilization, communications and evaluation strategies
- Gathering and using quantitative and qualitative feedback on programs and products to improve the quality of implementation to support dissemination and adoption.
- Collecting and summarizing targeted key performance indicators

**Qualifications include but are not limited to**:

- Masters degree in a field relevant to aging and brain health or health-related discipline required
- Completion of a postsecondary certificate in knowledge translation/mobilization and/or implementation science is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience in knowledge mobilization field
- Familiarity with healthcare, long-term care and academic sectors is an asset
- Demonstrated experience in all aspects of knowledge transfer and exchange
- Experienced in facilitating stakeholder events, meetings, and workgroups to advance capacity building and strategic objectives
- Experience collaborating and networking with healthcare organizations, leaders, clinicians, residents, care partners, innovators, academics, researchers, and team members to proactively build relationships and achieve shared goals
- Experience with quality improvement, quantitative and qualitative data collection and evaluation methods is a valuable asset
- Excellent time management with ability to multi-task, produce and coordinate competing deliverables with tight timelines
- Ability to co-create and co-produce innovative solutions to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
- Excellent project management with ability to adapt and co-design responsive solutions in a changing context
