**A.** **Primary Role**

The Knowledge Broker, Ontario Hepatitis C Program is the primary resource within CATIE for the implementation of CATIE’s hepatitis C knowledge broker work in Ontario, including coordinating and implementing activities for the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network. This role will also support other hepatitis C knowledge exchange initiatives with key provincial partners and complementary work in harm reduction. This position is supervised by the Associate Director, Ontario Hepatitis C and Harm Reduction Programming. The location of this position is flexible in Ontario, and can be full-time remote or a combination of remote and at the CATIE office in Toronto. This position will also occasionally travel within Ontario.

**B. Key Responsibilities**

**Job Responsibility #1: Leads the coordination and implementation of customized capacity building and knowledge exchange activities for the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network (35%)**

1. Coordinates and implements customized capacity building and knowledge exchange activities for the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network.

a. Leads the planning, implementation and evaluation of virtual and in-person activities for the Hepatitis C Teams Network (including workshops, online learning, presentations and coordinating external trainings).

b. Leads the delivery of online and in-person network events, including presenting, facilitating and providing technical support.

c. Collaborates with external speakers, Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network members, and other CATIE staff to plan and deliver activities.

2. Maintains a centralized coordination and secretariat function to support the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams network.

a. Leads consultations and engagement to identify the hepatitis C and harm reduction capacity building and network needs of the Hepatitis C Teams.

c. Maintains the contact list for the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network, and acts as the main point of contact for questions, inquiries or requests.

d. Supports coordination and communication with the key stakeholders related to the Ontario Hepatitis C Teams Network

**Job Responsibility #2: Coordinates and implements broader knowledge exchange and capacity building activities as part of CATIE’s Ontario hepatitis C knowledge broker function (30%)**

1. Facilitates collaboration and coordination with key provincial stakeholders across the provincial system responding to Hepatitis C.

a. Maintains relationships with provincial hepatitis C clinical and community stakeholders and partners.

b. Supports coordination, communication and overall collaboration with stakeholders as part of Ontario hepatitis C initiatives.

c. Provides content expertise in the areas of hepatitis C, knowledge exchange and community engagement for provincial initiatives.

2. Coordinates and implements capacity building activities in collaboration with provincial stakeholders for a variety of audiences in hepatitis C and related areas

a. Organizes virtual or in-person events (e.g., webinars, educational events, dialogues) for primarily frontline hepatitis C service providers or program planners.

b. Public speaking as a presenter or facilitator at both virtual and in-person events

c. Produces capacity building materials including planning documents, educational materials and presentations.

**Job Responsibility #3: Supports the uptake of hepatitis C knowledge within the organization and with external stakeholders (20%)**

1. Shares knowledge of emerging hepatitis C trends, practices or issues in Ontario within CATIE as needed to inform work by other teams.

2. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to assess new developments and plan knowledge exchange activities to share relevant learnings with Ontario stakeholders.

3. Supports the development of other CATIE-created knowledge products in writing, reviewer, advisor or other roles as requested.

**Job Responsibility #4: Supports the coordination and implementation of harm reduction knowledge exchange and capacity building activities to support a network of harm reduction outreach workers (15%)**

1. Work closely with the Ontario CATIE team to support the consultation, collaboration and engagement of a separate network of harm reduction workers.

2. Works with Ontario CATIE team to support the coordination and implementation of harm reduction knowledge exchange and capacity building activities, including virtual and in-person events (meetings, online learning, webinars)

**C. Knowledge and Skills Required**

1. Graduate level education and experience in health sciences, public health, adult education or a related discipline.

2. An understanding of frontline, community health practice. Experience working in frontline hepatitis C, harm reduction or related programs is an asset.

3. Understanding of the knowledge exchange process and principles.
