We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Interior Designer to join our team at Recruitment By Design. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design process for workplace projects, working closely with our sales teams to grow and maintain client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the outside sales teams in the growth and maintenance of client relationships
  • Lead the design process for workplace projects, from project conception to completion
  • Prepare working drawings for the construction of large commercial office spaces
  • Collaborate with design team members to ensure high-quality designs and timely project delivery
  • Coordinate with outside project consultants to complete well-coordinated projects
  • Work to and meet project timelines and budget requirements
  • Build and maintain close client relationships and strong relationships with contractors and vendors
  • Guide, mentor, and train members of the design team
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant North American interior design experience in commercial design
  • Interior design graduate with a 4-year Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited interior design program or equivalent in Architecture
  • NCIDQ designation is an asset
  • ARIDO Membership in good standing is an asset
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD (version 2015 or higher), Revit (version 2015 or higher) is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Salesforce Illustrator Sketch-Up
  • Extensive experience preparing complex working drawings and construction documents and in the design of commercial office spaces
  • Fully competent in construction and Contract Administration processes with rigorous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and construction regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in the English language, to allow for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • A valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle
