**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees a team of 11 staff, including 4 direct reports (1 Supervisor, 2 Projects Managers, and 1 Analyst role) with full responsibility for interviewing and selection, orientation and training, direction and guidance, and performance management.
- Directly supervises the work of 2 Project Managers that are focused on project delivery related to enhancements to the City’s ERP solutions and allocates/assigns staff resources to various projects each year.
- Engages strategically with business divisions to understand their priorities and key initiatives and determine where there are gaps within the current ERP landscape in supporting their day-to-day and future business needs. Provides strategic guidance and advice to business divisions on process optimization and functional system enhancement initiatives involving ERP solutions.
- Advances system and process enhancements that prioritize the user experience so that there is wide adoption and use of enterprise systems, including easy to use self-service options for employees.
- Develops and leads effective change management plans to support business innovation and transformation, ensuring there is buy-in from various departments and stakeholders.
- Collaborates and works closely with Technology Innovation Services management in the planning and prioritization of technical resources required for the successful delivery of ERP enhancement projects, as well as hardware (servers and network) and licensing needs.
- Researches business and technology trends/benchmarks within the public sector/utility industries through regular communications with other local and provincial governments, utility companies and technology vendors.
- Manages the engagement and performance of ERP professional services vendors of record, solutions vendors, and implementation partners, in consultation with business divisions, Technology Innovation Services, and ERP Steering Committee.
- Develops and manages the 10-year ERP capital forecast and the annual ERP operating budget, including development of budget issue papers and business cases as needed. Reviews and approves payment of ERP professional services, license fees, and other related costs, ensuring compliance with the City’s Procurement By-Law and relevant budget policies.
- Supports corporate and departmental initiatives as a member of ERP steering committees and other work groups.
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Director, Financial Reporting & ERP Solutions as required.
- Performs duties in accordance with corporate confidentiality standards.
- Performs other related duties as required.

**Requirements**:
- 4-year Honours degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Computer Science).
- 4-7 years of related management experience, preferably in a municipal environment
- Knowledge of ERP suite of solutions and BI system fundamentals to enable sound business decisions that support the City’s strategic priorities.
- Knowledge of financial, human resources/payroll, and property tax and utility billing processes.
- Understanding of municipal government governance, legislations, policies, challenges and trends to enable effective participation in researching, assessing and recommending technology solutions.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and coach professional staff and help them grow.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to develop and present reports to Finance Standing Committee, Corporate Leadership Team, and department/division management and staff and to communicate the benefits of ERP enhancements as part of project implementations and change management
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop trusted and lasting relationships with City divisions, other municipal jurisdictions/public sector organizations, utility companies, and trusted vendors.
- Negotiation skills to manage projects that often involve diverse, competing interests.
- Time management skills to prioritize and respond to multiple concurrent requests in a timely manner.
- Strong planning and project management skills to manage staff assignments and workload on multiple on-going projects effectively.
