Reporting to the President, the Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk is responsible for acquiring and processing invoices, assisting in the reconciliation of accounts, and paying or receiving payment from vendors and customers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are due
- Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports using company-specific accounting software
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network
- Assisting other departments with equipment or product purchases, tracking assets and accounts for acquisition
- Confirming subcontractor billed working hours, bonuses, and projects

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a bookkeeping, finance and/or accounting role, required
- Experience working in finance for a manufacturing company, an asset
- Certificate, diploma or degree in business administration, bookkeeping, accounting, and/or a related field, an asset

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and practices
- Skilled communicator with demonstrated interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and proven commitment to exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable, punctual and business-oriented
- Skilled at comparing, interpreting, and organizing a variety of data and information, systematically
- Ability to work efficiently in a team setting and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities and work activities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying great attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, adapt and take initiative in light of new information and/or organizational changes
- Ability to put systems in place and provide input on how to improve processes
- **Working Conditions**:_
- The Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk primarily works in an office setting
- Must be capable of coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously amidst continuous distractions, conflicting priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Availability to work flexible hours
