Special Events Coordinator

Kingston, Canada Mio Gelato Full time

This position is responsible for overseeing the set up and take down of community and private events. Split shifts may be required during peak season to fulfill this responsibility.

As the special events coordinator you’ll be responsible for making sure the special events totes and assets are clean, organized and accounted for.

Working with the Production and Facilities Manger you’ll ensure that the assets are ready for all events.

Working with the Store Manager you’ll ensure that the schedule represents the staffing requirements for each event.

During events you’ll guide the events staff in their tasks and aid in problem solving throughout the day.

When/if issues arise while at an event you’ll first, try to solve it, if you’re unable to solve it you’ll communicate with the Production and Facilities Manger for assistance and guidance.

In the event that there are not enough events to fill full-time hours, in store shifts or bike shifts will be provided to fulfill Mio Gelato's hour commitments.

PLEASE NOTE:
**Must be available evenings, weekends and holidays** throughout the summer as that is when most events take place.

Driving of a trailer is **required** for this position but training is provided if needed. (A G2 or G license is required)

Safe food handling certificate is **required** but training will be covered if needed.

Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
- Food Safety Certification (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
