Dumas is the contractor of choice for the most technically challenging underground projects, including mine construction, full-scale mine development, production mining, mine services and engineering.

**DUMAS** is looking for a Human Resources student. This may be a 4, 8 or 12-month term, dependent on the Universities’ or College's criteria. This position would be an excellent opportunity for talented students who want to broaden their experience and be part of a winning team. You will be mentored and coached by the Human Resources Team. The Human Resources Student is responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department at the Timmins office location.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES**:

- Provides assistance with the day-to-day activities of the department.
- Provides assistance with some Timmins office duties which includes receiving and shipping parcels and preparing the boardroom for visitors.
- Develop working knowledge of local, provincial and federal Human Resources regulations.
- Assist with scheduling of internal and external meetings of the department.
- Working with team to assist in day-to-day activities of the department.
- Assist the Recruiter with the sorting of resumes.
- Perform a wide range of administrative support tasks.
- Assist in writing, proofreading, and editing documents.
- Prepare presentations and reports.
- Manage documents for members of the department.
- Create and manage physical and electronic documents and files to keep them up to date.
- Assistance with the production of correspondence of the weekly manpower reports.

**COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**:

- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Human Resources or Administrative Program.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Strong written oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively using a range of software.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills with effective workflow prioritization abilities.
- Ability to take the initiative and utilize good judgment.
- Results orientated.
- Ability to work independently and/or with little supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on assigned or agreed timelines.
- Demonstrates Professionalism, Respect/Caring, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence in the work environment.
- Mining experience preferred.
- Bilingual - French and/or Spanish would be an asset.
