The House Leader oversees and takes the leadership role on a support team.
- This means that you will lead a team and know how to train, guide and motivate them. And sometimes you have to have the hard conversations too
- Maintain a positive and professional workplace through verbal and written communication.
- Administration: Yes there is paperwork every day - petty cash, bank reconciliations, logs, communication books, Incident reports and so much more.

The House Leader coordinates and manages the day-to-day supports to ensure that persons supported achieve their personal goals, build relationships, make informed choices and exercise their rights.
- Manage the appointments and supports for the people living in the home.
- Ensure the staff are following all the licensing requirements and the plans put in place.

The House Leader ensures the support team has the resources necessary to help them facilitate people’s participation in social roles that lead to integration in a typical and valued life in the community.
- Provide Direct Support (Program Support) at a high level ensuring the needs and wants are being met of the people supported.
- Plan activities for the location to ensure they are living quality lives.

Some other Must have Skills & Qualifications:

- Valid Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes
- DCSP (2 year program) or other related Post-Secondary education. (preferred)
- Proficiency in the use of computer programs for reports, and payroll.
- Reliable and responsible.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to provide basic employment documentation including a current Criminal Record Check, Adult Abuse Registry check
- Current First Aid Certification (level c)

**Hours and Working Conditions**:
We have a couple of positions that are currently open and a few opening up in the near future.

All House Leader positions are full time with varying hours depending on the location you are assigned:
Positions could include a combination of following days and times:

- All House Leader positions are Monday to Friday, with the following variations:

- Daytime shifts to provide Direct Support (7 am - 3 pm ) up to 3 shifts a week
- Evening shifts to provide Direct Support (3 pm - 11 pm) up to 3 shifts a week
- Daytimes shifts to provide Administrative Support to the team and location (Business hours between 8:30 am - 5:30 pm) up to 5 shifts per week.

This position may require you to work some overtime hours, with paid compensation, to provide additional support outside of the standard hours of work.

This position generally includes Direct Support Work for approximately 60% of the time and Administrative & Leadership duties 40% of the time.

**Compensation & Benefits**:
The House Leader’s wage starts at $19.50 an hour.
