**Position**

The Academic Site Administrator - Camrose is responsible for coordinating, maintaining and supporting the postgraduate residency program at the Camrose home base along with the undergraduate Integrated Community Clerkship and Pre-Clinical Networked Medical Education learners who rotate through. This position requires both independent initiative and work within the residency program team to administer detailed and complex programs, as well as projects required of the position. Under mínimal supervision, this position requires the ability to work independently and have a high level of skill in organization, decision making and communication (interpersonal, electronic and telephone). This position also requires the ability to be proactive, creative, and to manage priorities in a multi-task environment which is highly demanding in terms of pace, deadlines and constant interruptions.

This position provides a full range of administrative support to the rural family medicine residency co-directors and rural family medicine residents in Camrose. The position reports to the co-directors for day-to-day activities, liaises with the University of Alberta Department of Family Medicine residency program team lead and the Office of Rural & Regional Health Undergraduate Medical Education staff for academic items, the team lead, ORRH for financial matters, and the assistant postgraduate program director, rural DoFM.

This position also works closely with other site administrators and the rural family medicine residency programs based in Red Deer, Grande Prairie and Yellowknife to ensure effective overall delivery of the program. This position facilitates effective communication and collaboration with the administrative team at the Department of Family Medicine, the administrative staff in the Office of Rural & Regional Health, rural preceptors, clinical teaching sites, and the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine Distributed Learning and Rural Initiatives Office.

**Duties**
- Maintain the DFM resident database and onsite confidential and complete resident files including evaluations, progress reports, quarterly reports, resident project requirements, references and correspondence in an accessible and organized manner.
- Plan, complete, maintain, approve and confirm resident rotation schedules and yearly academic schedules in coordination with other residency site administrators and rural program administrators. Approve and track resident vacation, conference, research, study and exam time and submit special leave requests for approval.
- Schedule, coordinate and facilitate seminars, workshops, conferences, meetings, alternate learning programs, educational activities, rounds, SOO practice sessions, academic days, research activities, awards, resident orientations, luncheons, photo sessions and social activities. Produce and redesign forms for program activities and disseminate notices and materials.
