The Uber Eats Western Canada team is looking for a City Manager to lead the Alberta territory which includes Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge.

In this role, you will manage a team of Sellers and Account Managers who are responsible for acquiring and growing top merchants in the market.

This role offers the opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the organization and is responsible for making commercial decisions to help us achieve our goal of winning selection, street by street and geo by geo.

City Managers own the results of all sides of the marketplace - not just selection but also experience. It is a multi-faceted role in that it requires you to set geo-level commercial strategies, be a strong people leader with the ability to direct your team's efforts to drive key business metrics, while also taking a people-first approach to developing and up-leveling your individual contributors. - What You Will Do -- Grow - Drive merchant revenue and value on Uber Eats by deepening our partnerships with them, leveraging marketing and product adoption, as well as new and innovative initiatives
- Connect - Engage directly and through your team with local restaurants and influencers, and understand which brands are key for us to unlock. Staying informed on restaurant trends is key to success in this role.
- Lead - Manage a team of highly skilled individual contributors that work to retain and grow our Merchant Partners, while taking a people first approach to support development opportunities for members of the team.
- Influence - Work cross-functionally with our Sales, Product, Operations and Analytics teams to improve the Restaurant partner's experience and exceed targets.
- Strategize - Work with senior leadership across the Sales and Ops org to devise and execute on the overall strategy for retaining and growing our SMB restaurant partner base.
- Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of work experience across operations, sales, or account management - Preferred Qualifications -- A track record of coaching and developing people and building high-performing teams
- Experience being a leader among peers, influencing cross-functional partners and setting an example for others
- An entrepreneurial mindset, passion for building things, working towards a shared goal, and ownership of outcomes
- Experience working closely and communicating effectively with diverse set of stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment
- Ability to manipulate data sets and derive strategic insightsHigh EQ and natural interpersonal skills. A connector and expert communicator
