Our areas of expertise are focused mostly in helping the community resolve their legal issues which often encompasses Family Law, Real Estate Law, Corporate and/or Will and Estate Law.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Answer, screen and route incoming calls for the Partner;
- Proactively manage the daily schedule for the Partner, rationalizing and prioritizing demands from various sources from within and outside the organization
- Assisting Partner with all client matters as needed;
- Provide Partner with regular updates on status of client matters as requested;
- Keep in contact with clients on a regular basis, provide any developments on their file, answer questions as needed, etc.;
- Docket time in Cosmolex;
- Make various cheque requests to the Accounting Department;
- Maintaining Partner tracker charts as needed;
- Prepare intake & final packages;
- Handling expenses and arranging meetings for the Partner, including coordinating meeting and materials, etc.
- Dealing with issues and tasks on behalf of the Partner as directed, often in high-pressure situations
- Provide effective inbox management, prioritizing messages and requests, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times
- Maintain effective communication, internally and externally, by ensuring Partners are informed of all relevant information
- Complete research and data collection and prepare documents for review for various matters as assigned by the Partner
- Maintaining strict confidentiality on all matters
- Performing all other duties as required including but not limited to administrative tasks duties as assigned by the Partner
- Drafting correspondence, letters and reports with respect to a variety of matters for review by the Partner Assist Partner with various tasks as requested
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong ethical standards, with a commitment to confidentiality and privacy

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Completion of a Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma or relevant certification preferred
- 1-3 years legal administrative experience
- Working knowledge of legal procedures, protocols, and documentation
- Experience working with Cosmolex, Word, Excel, Office 365, Bookings
