Monitors Wait time and current staffing, ensuring the right staff are performing the appropriate duties at the right time
- Communicates regularly both written and verbal with the Operations Leader and Management Team identifying operational developments and recommending improvements.
- Collaborates with the Operations Leaders to help troubleshoot, strategize, trial and implement organizational and process improvements
- Participates in regular and ad hoc meetings with Technical Supervisors, OLs, and Management with the shared goals of process improvement and collaborative engagement.
- Works with Operations Leader to build a team atmosphere by developing and motivating staff
- Ensures company policies/procedures are reviewed annually by each staff member and adhered to
- Performs phlebotomy and micro collections by heel and finger
- Performs ECGs
- Demonstrates discretion and confidentiality in all communications
- Keeps Management Team apprised of activities and recommends improvements
- Communicates instructions to customers clearly and accurately

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on client service and public relations
- Highly developed communication and public relations skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, computer skills
- Ability to adapt to new situations, ability to multitask, ability to change directions and priorities quickly.
- Must be comfortable working in a rapid, task force style environment when needed to implement rapid changes to PCS processes

Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a Medical Laboratory Assistant II in Community Services/Patient Care Services is required.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills is preferred

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Successful completion of internal/external Laboratory Assistant program is required.
- Previous training and experience in phlebotomy, ECGs and specimen processing is required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, required.

**Other Information**
- Preference for this position will be given to bargaining unit members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the DynaLIFE/HSAA Collective Agreement
