As a Technician - Tax Evasion Control, you help institute the compliance framework and enforce related rules. You help ensure that oversight measures such as officer and employee behaviours comply with the organization's standards.

You serve as technical collaborator and provide discipline-specific support for your unit's activities, initiatives and processes. The ability to tailor your approach as needed is therefore essential. You research and analyze processes, information management and data processing.

You draw on your sound decision-making skills to solve technical problems and help develop and improve methods and procedures.

General Information on the Position

More specifically, you're responsible for qualifications and declarations of individual and business members for the caisse network and other Desjardins entities as part of anti-tax evasion efforts. You analyze the data on the various accounts, contact members to obtain additional information, and, if necessary, follow up on the files under your responsibility.

Main responsibilities- Assume responsibility for a variety of anti-tax evasion operational and administrative activities-
- Provide first-level anti-tax evasion support to various stakeholders- Serve as an anti-tax evasion resource for Desjardins Group by working within the Centre of Expertise-
- Collect and analyze the relevant information received- Ensure the quality and accuracy of the information received, and that it is properly processed and integrated it into the computer system

Other working conditions- The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid- Temporary work: scheduled to end on August 26, 2023- Number of jobs available : 2

**Qualifications**:
- College diploma in a related field- A minimum of two years of relevant experience- Experience in client-facing roles- Experience in regulatory or tax-related fields- Experience working for a financial institution (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered- For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge- Strong knowledge of Desjardins Group (an asset)- Knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulations (an asset)- Intermediate-advanced proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with (language)-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
