Bookkeeper

**Responsibilities**:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately, prepare annual T4 forms, and reconcile government remittances
- Calculating and preparing cheques for supplier invoices, government remittances as well as other expenditures
- Generate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and payments for GST/HST taxes, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems to support bookkeeping and financial records
- Other Duties assigned by the Management or Board of Directors
**Skills and Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience as a bookkeeper or general accountant
- Experience with QuickBooks, SAGE50 and Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
