**Job Description: Transportation Coordinator, Mentor College & TEAM School**
**School Bus Routes**
- Be the liaison between the bus company and the school by helping to establish and maintain school bus routes
- Be the liaison for communicating bus route information (eg: timing, stop locations) between the school, its parents, and the bus company
- Be the liaison for communicating bus route information (eg: discipline issues) between the school principals and the bus drivers
**Internal School Transportation**
- Book transportation for off-campus events (eg: field trips, sports games) using charter bookings and school-owned vehicles
- Co-ordinate the transportation of students, documents, and light cargo between the schools
- Ensure that school-owned vehicles are properly maintained and licensed
- Ensure that drivers of school vehicles are properly documented for insurance purposes
**Pre-Requisites for Employment**:
- Provide a clean Canadian Police Information Check (CPIC) and a negative TB skin test prior start of employment
- Hold a valid “E” licence or higher and maintain “E” licence or higher for the duration of employment
**During the School Year**
- Check in with the carrier by 7:45am to ensure buses are running on time and to confirm charter bookings for the day
- Attend bus arrival and dismissal at Main Campus each day
- Ensure drivers have an up-to-date route sheet after changes are made
- Oversee student discipline issues (with or without the help of the principal)
- Manage parent requests to add, cancel, or amend busing
- Check in with carrier by 5:00pm to confirm buses have cleared for the day
- Note that there are 5 paid weeks of school holidays during the school year, plus and additional 6 days where the school has no classes.
**Salary and Benefits**
- $48,000 per year, paid monthly
- As circumstances dictate, the school may be able to offer an extension of this contract or a permanent position.
- Benefits include LTD and ADD upon start of employment, 80% co-pay (drug, dental, etc.) after 90 day probationary period has been completed, pension after 1 year of employment (school matches employee contributions).

Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $4,000.00 per month
