**Position**: F/T Assistant Office Manager

**Location**: Vancouver

**Start date**: ASAP

**Salary**: Depending on experience ranging from $54K - $58K per annum

**Office Hours**:9 am to 5 pm

**Job summary**: A positive attitude and superior customer service, organizational, project management and problem-solving skills will be key to your success in this role.

**Duties include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- supervise the office in day-to-day operations
- keep track of the expiry date and renew of the property insurance
- prepare on-call schedule for staff
- provide support and advice for on-call staff while they are on duty
- assist the top management deal with banking and property issues
- handle and negotiate leases
- communicate with tenants
- review contractor quotations and report to the Landlord for approval
- issue letters to tenants and communicate with lawyer if necessary
- prepare time sheets for staff to accountant for payroll
- prepare budget for the commercial buildings
- prepare operating cost recovery for the commercial buildings
- prepare payments for contractors
- keep record of bank account balance
- supervise the rent collection

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years’ experience of office management
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in English
- valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- post-secondary education in building management or related studies
- knowledge of Chinese an asset
- a sense of urgency and the ability to perform extremely well under time pressures, multi-tasking, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $54,000.00-$58,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V6K 2C8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
