**Job Description**:
The Buyer will be responsible for evaluating, establishing and executing the procurement strategies most appropriate to the company's objectives for the purchasing categories and special projects assigned to him/her, while respecting internal and external policies. The main objective of this position is to manage projects related to products and/or services offered to passengers and flight crews required during a flight. The agreements put in place will optimize the total cost of acquisition, maintain or improve the quality of products and/or services, while minimizing business risks.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow the procurement strategies established by the Strategic Sourcing Manager, select suppliers and negotiate agreements that optimize the products and services required, while respecting the company's operational and financial objectives, as well as internal and external policies:

- Obtain, guide and participate in the drafting of specifications for products and/or services required by the internal customer;
- Conduct market research and identify potential suppliers;
- Draft tender documents and conduct the entire tendering exercise;
- Analyze supplier proposals (quantitative and qualitative analysis);
- Negotiate terms and conditions in accordance with internal processes and policies;
- Prepare documentation to obtain final decision from internal customer and other relevant decision-makers;
- Prepare draft contract to reflect completed negotiations;
- Manage contracts (signature, amendments, invoice discrepancies, compliance);
- Support internal customers in evaluating supplier performance;
- Conduct strategic intelligence and attend industry committees, trade shows and conferences;
- Recommend improvement initiatives for the company;
- Coordinate and conduct performance evaluations and business reviews between suppliers and relevant operational teams.

Operationalize signed agreements and measure contract compliance in terms of cost and performance:

- Prepare the summary for each signed agreement and communicate appropriately to the operational teams concerned, including coordination with buyer-planners and/or coordinators involved in order management (SAP/MM);
- Prepare forecast reports by product and flight, analyze actual sales reports by product and flight, and take any necessary action following analysis;
- Support the internal customer in evaluating the performance of contracted suppliers (SLA, KPI, Scorecard);
- Manage the supplier relationship for any contractual modifications, non-compliance or performance issues in accordance with company procedures and deadlines;
- Support the finance team in managing invoice discrepancies;

Contribute to the continuous improvement and respect of the procurement process to ensure the sustainability of operations, the efficiency of the supply chain, the achievement of financial results sought by the company and appropriate risk management:

- Promote continuous improvement discussions with strategic suppliers;

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of six (6) years' experience in the procurement field (airline industry an asset)
- Bachelor's degree in Administration or equivalent
- Training in procurement, an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French): spoken and written
- Ability to manage several files simultaneously and work as part of a team
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge of SAP software and Office suite
- Willingness to travel
