Our national team of Organizational Health Consultants looks at the bigger picture, making the connections between health and business objectives so organizations can focus on their most important priorities. Through a strategic approach to prevention and absence management, and a strong expertise in data analytics, we help employers meet their organizational and employee health needs of today to build a healthier future.

Reporting to the Director, Organizational Health Consulting, the Organizational Health Consultant (OHC) is a client focused, relationship builder and strategic thinker who identifies opportunities to improve our clients’ organizational health, promote a healthy workplace culture and provide strategic guidance to meet our clients’ business objectives.

To be successful in this role, the OHC will focus on establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with Clients and advisors as well as key internal stakeholders in business development and disability management. **Please note this is a 15 month contract opportunity.**

**What will you do?**
- The Organizational Health Consultant is accountable for assessing client needs, prioritizing opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations focused on a best practice, industry-leading model in prevention, workplace health promotion, absence, and disability management. _**_Specific accountabilities include: _**
- Contribute at a strategic level to the development of client’s business plans to achieve specific healthy workplace, attendance & disability objectives
- Collaborate with clients to design proactive workplace health and benefits policies, practices, and programs to meet the client’s business goals. Accountability for driving positive change includes:

- Serve as a lead strategist and expert in organizational health and absence management for SLF Group Life & Disability clients and internal teams
- Conduct comprehensive IHS assessments and draw insights from reporting to help guide client priorities related to benefits, wellness, disability management and internal programs and resources that influence workplace health and wellbeing
- Establish a trusted advisor role with stakeholders; effectively manage relationships to deliver a seamless and valuable client experience
- Facilitate discussions with clients on key metrics, (E.g., health benefit utilization, wellness program outcomes, disability metrics, employee engagement), reviewing outcomes and providing a comprehensive analysis of the issues underlying the data.
- As a key strategic partner, elevate support to clients related to attendance and disability management; develop a multi-year plan that includes innovative solutions to address the issues and influence clients to adopt recommendations and measure progress

**What you need to succeed?**
- University degree or College Diploma in Health Sciences, Occupational Health, Psychology, Disability Management, or health related field
- Specialty in workplace wellness, health promotion and/or organizational-industrial psychology
- 5-7 years’ progressive experience in disability management, and/or management/design of organizational health and wellness plans at a consulting or leadership level
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working directly with Clients
- Demonstrates deep knowledge and skills gained from experience in group benefits, with a focus on absence and disability management and prevention
- Proven ability to recognize and diagnose client issues, work across teams, and leverage the resources available to address client challenges and drive change
- Exceptional analytical skills and strategic capabilities to highlight risk areas and create and execute on strategic plans
- Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, and internal partners
- Superior influencing skills and demonstrated ability working collaboratively across teams, to set and achieve shared outcomes
- Critical thinker with superior ability to surface underlying issues / concerns and identify root causes to develop recommendations. This includes an ability to uncover the most pressing needs and opportunities across multiple health data streams and business performance indicato
