**Job Summary**: Reporting to the GM and owners, the Human Resources Manager is a key member of the management leadership team. You are responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations and activities of the Human Resources function. You will provide management and employees with human resources guidance, expertise and advice based on a thorough understanding of legislation, regulations and policies.

You will participate in the development, implementation and administration of all Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruitment, training and development, employee relations, social activities, pay and benefits, Health and Safety and maintaining employee records.

This is a hands-on position which requires you to work **onsite **at our Resort in Alliston, ON.

**Requirements and Specialized Skills**:

- Knowledge of current employment laws.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal skills.
- Good working knowledge of human resources information systems, payroll and time and attendance management systems.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Independent and self-motivated.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Able to take and receive direction and communicate effectively and with courtesy to potential employees and guests.
- Strong computer skills - must be very familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent web based recruitment skills for successful online recruitment including all social media platforms.
- Team builder who is energetic and creative.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Independent and self-motivated.
- Customer service-oriented team player.

**Education & Certification**:

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources.
- 3-5 years previous senior Human Resources supervisory experience.
- Tourism or Hospitality experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Health and Safety Level 1 certification (Level 2 is an asset).
- Second language an asset.
- CHRP designation is an asset.
