Office Assistant/bookkeeper

We are a full-service Payroll and Human Resources full-service provider.
Please note that the job posting is for one of our payroll clients (note the job description for location and other information).
Bookkeeping Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks (currently on Sage but moving to QuickBooks Online, experience in both required).
- Accounts Payable: Entry of Purchase Invoices and Expense Receipts, Generate and send out Cheque Payments.
- Bank Transactions: Entry and Reconciliation of Bank Accounts.
- Filing of PST and GST Tax Returns Online.
- Gathering employee hours and relaying payroll information to the payroll bureau. Disbursement of net payroll to employees
- Generate Reports as required for business operations.
- Work closely with external Accountants to ensure a seamless operation from entry to reporting.
Office Assistant Responsibilities:
- Answer company phone calls for customer booking, supplier inquiries etc.
- Assist in the scheduling of on-site technician customer appointments.
- Assist on-site technician with customer quotes, invoicing and payment processing, including credit card authorizations.
**Skills**:
- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry
- Strong technical accounting skills with basic knowledge of accounting.
- Experience in account reconciliation and analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Full knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing
- Full Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, invoice customer invoicing, account reconciliation and payment processing.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly and welcoming personality with the ability to solve customer inquiries and issues.
- Able to work in a fast-paced with deadlines environment.

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
