**Location**: Mississauga, ON - Corporate Headquarters

**Base Hours**:Monday
- Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm

TDG Transit Design Group is seeking a Buyer to work within the BIDS Team to create offers for TDG customers globally. The key role is to ensure all TDG offers meet various financial requirements and goals.

- Perform cost analysis of lighting assemblies manufactured by TDG.
- Create costed Bill of Materials based on existing and new designs.
- Capture TDG manufacturing parameters for costing.
- Review expenses to find cost saving opportunities.
- Request quotes from new and existing vendors.
- Find new vendors for new or existing processes globally.
- Work collaboratively with all TDG departments globally.
- Keep project records and files.
- Maintain an organized filing system for all files according to TDG procedures.
- Adherence to timelines and schedules

**Requirements and Experience**:

- Minimum two years’ experience in a Costing, Procurement, or Technical role.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes - CNC Machining, Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding. Injection Moulding, Die Casting, Stamping, 3D printing.
- Basic understanding of electronics / PCBs.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Additional languages may be an asset.
- Good organizational communication and planning skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Interpersonal and communication strengths, able to work individually and as part of a team.
