**CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Buyer**

**Location: Mississauga, Ontario**
- Negotiate, Purchasing new products and checking the quality and customer popularity of those already in store;
- Negotiating terms of contracts with supplies including discounts and transportation arrangements;
- Monitoring and maintaining adequate stock levels
- Deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success based on service level and SKU Performance
- Monitor and take appropriate action on vendor performance with respect to order fill and on time delivery
- Identify and communicate opportunities with vendors, Category Management, Merchandising, Replenishment and Logistics on areas for improvement

**Job Qualifications**:

- An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a DEC
- 2-4 years of experience as a buyer in a related industry (relevant purchasing and marketing experience-preferably in a produce, food processing or distribution/logistics environment).
- Extensive knowledge of Excel (intermediate)
- Grocery buying experience (required)
- Able to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change.
- Have strong analytical, planning and execution skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Monday to Friday

- Mississauga, ON L4Z 1T5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
