**Location**: Hybrid - this position works on-site in Mississauga (2 days per week) and the incumbent must also be able to commute to Markham for a once monthly team meeting. The remaining time is spent working from home office.

**Position Summary**:
The Human Resources & Payroll Administrator is responsible for accurate and efficient administrative duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Payroll duties, such as: processing the Payroll with oversight from Payroll Supervisor, uploading critical payroll files in a timely manner, and generating the pay register
- Payroll Administration duties, such as: vacation balance processing and report distribution, entering new hire data into the system, printing and mailing pay statements and T4s, requesting cheques from Accounts Payable, data entry of commissions, and enrolling new hires into the self-service portal
- HR Administration duties, such as: drafting and editing HR-related documentation (ie. Letters of Employment), enrolling employees into and updating the data in the Group Benefits portal, conducting monthly audits in the Group Benefits portal, ordering office supplies, and being responsible for the mail and courier functions
- Participating in committees, projects, and meetings as required
- Acting as a back-up to Payroll Supervisor for vacation coverage
- Other HR and/or Payroll tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

- Post-secondary education in Payroll and/or Human Resources Management
- 3 years minimum Administration experience required
- Experience processing end-to-end Payroll a definite asset
- Prior HR Administration experience an asset
- ** The ability to work overtime and weekend hours, especially around Public Holidays, as required in order to meet payroll deadlines**:
