POSITION TITLE**:HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT**

REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager

WORK SCHEDULE: Regular, Full-Time, Days

WORK LOCATION: On-Site: 5800 Avebury Road, Mississauga, ON. L5R 3M3

**Position Summary**: Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Assistant will provide support to all departments with a primary focus on recruitment. Additionally, the Human Resources Assistant will assist with administration, employee relations, and payroll preparation.

**Position Responsibilities**:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the following:

- Conducting new employee orientations and coordinating onboarding processes;
- Maintaining the hourly attendance system;
- Assisting with hourly attendance management;
- Submitting timesheets for temporary employees;
- Completing letters and forms as required (i.e.: letters of employment, records of employment, termination letters, etc.);
- Explaining, interpreting, and administering Allseating’s policies and procedures to employees;
- Preparing appropriate paperwork to be processed with payroll;
- Assisting with organizing and conducting training sessions;
- Assisting with the planning and execution of company events;
- Assisting with Human Resources initiatives, projects, and ad hoc reporting as requested;
- General administrative duties; and
- Other duties as may be assigned or required.

- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment;
- Strong collaboration skills, enjoys working in a team environment;
- Must be capable of forging professional relationships; and
- Must have a positive can-do attitude combined with a customer-focused approach.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- University/College degree/diploma or post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from a recognized and accredited institution;
- 1-2 years of full cycle recruitment experience;
- Previous work experience in the Human Resources field; preferably in a manufacturing environment;
- Demonstrated working knowledge of employment legislation and progressive Human Resources policies and practices; and
- Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, discretion, confidentiality, and diplomacy at all times.

**Work Environment**:

- Office setting;
- Manufacturing setting; and
- Prolonged sitting at a computer workstation.
