Principalship Opportunity

School District No.48 (Sea to

Sky) anticipates elementary and secondary Vice-Principalship opportunities in

the District’s northern and southern regions in the coming year(s).

Nestled in the recreation-rich Sea to Sky corridor our school

district serves a population of 5,000 students. We are honored to be learning

within a number of culturally vibrant communities, encompassing Squamish,

Whistler, D’Arcy, Pemberton, and on the traditional territories the

S?wx_wú7mesh, Úxwumixw and St’át’yemc Nation.

incredibly welcoming people. The corridor is made up of robust communities with

big futures offering a range of economic diversity from knowledge based

enterprises to resort/tourism focused municipalities.

School District No.48 (Sea to Sky) is home to a stable population

of students with projections for growth. We are seeking a high performing

education professional with demonstrated success combining their passion for

education with an administrative acumen.

Learning Education Plan. Working as part of an education leadership team

committed to quality and innovation initiatives, you foster a safe and caring

school culture with an environment of instructional excellence based on best

practices, promoting moral and social responsibility in a student-centered

culture to imagine, inspire and innovate

You will embrace our geographic and community diversity and

respect and honor the Indigenous cultures and relationships of our school

district. Your ability to build positive, sustainable relationships is evident

and your well-developed sense of organization, problem solving and conflict

resolution skills are accompanied by your ability to manage time and

administrative tasks efficiently in supporting the school community. You value

the input of all community partners and stakeholders and communicate in an open

and transparent way.

A Master’s Degree in Education or equivalent is desired and you

must hold or qualify for a valid B.C. Professional Teaching Certificate.

Additionally, you have a successful portfolio of experiences gained through

working in a variety of schools (elementary and secondary) as well as

communities and roles. Experience in French Immersion programs will be

considered an asset.

**Salary range**: $130,785 to

$145,592 per year.
