**Neighborhood Hub Coordinator**
- PART TIME TERM (24 hours per week) - JUNE 30, 2025_

McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association of Calgary & Area is an organization making a difference in the lives of more than 3000 vulnerable children, youth and families annually. We support children, youth and families with complex needs that can include mental health issues, addictions, homelessness, poverty and disability by providing them with the services and supports they need to thrive. McMan is looking for a part-time **Neighborhood Hub Coordinator**. The Neighborhood Hub at the James House will provide scheduled and drop in programming for adults and youth facing a multitude of barriers to long term sustainable housing. The Neighborhood Hub will offer a safe space where people can connect, engage in learning opportunities and access resources while collectively empowering individuals receiving housing supports through McMan, and other housing programs, towards the goal of independence. The Neighborhood Hub will provide individuals with skill building, health and well-being services, workshops to promote community engagement and cultural activities to facilitate increased knowledge and understanding.

The Neighborhood Hub Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of the Neighborhood Hub. Some specific responsibilities include the following:
**_Community Engagement_**
- Build strong relations with surrounding community and seek opportunities for James House tenants to develop positive community engagement
- Cultivate positive relations with the Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association (HSCA) to support community interaction and integration opportunities for the Neighborhood Hub
- Foster and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations and other internal McMan programs including Hope Homes and James House
- Coordinate community resources including: medical, mental health, educational, and employment agencies out of James House to increase accessibility for clients and offer services to support housing stability.

**_Program Operations_**
- Support a strong culture within the building by planning community events, workshops, and training for tenants and staff
- Coordinate and facilitate activities at the Neighborhood Hub for McMan program participants, tenants from community affordable housing sites and local community members
- Create and distribute a Neighborhood Hub schedule to inform James House tenants and other potential participants of upcoming work shops and activities
- Provide monthly reporting to highlight program results and impact and effectiveness of the project. Review and revise programming to reflect needs of participants, community members and individuals experiencing housing challenges.
- A Diploma or Degree in Human Services
- Two years’ relevant experience in social services and community
- Strong interpersonal skills, program planning and administrative abilities
- A good knowledge of community resources
- A current and valid Driver’s License and adequate automobile insurance
- Current First Aid Training
- Suicide Intervention Awareness Training
- A current (no more than 6 months old) Police Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention check
- Have a reliable vehicle and proof of adequate vehicle insurance
- This role requires flexibility in work hours including some evenings and weekends.
