Victoria, Canada BC Association of Community Health Centres Full time

**Company description**

The British Columbia Association of Community Health Centres (BCACHC) exists to advance the Community Health Centre (CHC) model. The association engages, advocates for, and supports our member CHCs as an integral part of health and social services in their communities in BC. BCACHC supports member CHCs by offering a variety of consulting services, tools, and research to advance the development of CHCs in the province. BCACHC currently has 45 members.

**Job description**

**Evaluation Coordinator - 9 months, 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE)**

An important focus for BCACHC is the development of frameworks and tools for CHC use as part of quality improvement activities and data gathering and reporting initiatives. Current work is undertaken in partnership with government and agencies involved in the development of mechanisms for provincial system-level data reporting and analysis. The majority of work can be done virtually with the possibility of some travel to various CHCs throughout the province.

**Role Summary**

This role is a part time, temporary (9 months, with the possibility of a 3-month extension) contract position responsible for managing a series of projects related to the evaluation of CHC operations and quality improvement initiatives.

Working with the team at the BCACHC and partner organizations, the Coordinator will contribute to the development of a CHC evaluation framework, tools design, and coordinate the implementation and testing at pilot CHC locations. This work builds on existing tools focusing on Patient Experience, Capacity and Access, Team Function & Provider Experience, and program Dashboard reporting. The Coordinator will facilitate the exploration and expansion of indicators (e.g., complexity, cost-effectiveness) to measure CHCs’ comprehensive spectrum of services.

Outcome reporting using EMR data and measures that focus on team-based care will also be part of the role focus. In addition, the coordinator will create and maintain robust systems to ensure accurate, complete, and timely data collection and analysis.

**Qualifications & Experience**

Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related discipline. A graduate degree in health service evaluation discipline is preferred.

Knowledge of a range of evaluation methods, approaches, and tools.

Knowledge of quality improvement programming and PDSA processes.

2 to 3 years of experience researching, developing, and implementing evaluation models and tools in the health or social service sector.

Experience in data analysis and health outcome reporting, cleaning datasets, conducting quality assurance, and establishing systems to improve data integrity.

Experience with knowledge transfer initiatives in complex sectors including the ability to communicate complex ideas and train end users on the use of tools, reporting processes, data extraction processes, and quality improvement and change management philosophies.

Strong communication skills, including creating reports, presentations, correspondence, and use of various mediums of communication.

Proven ability to build, facilitate, and work within collaborative environments with stakeholders; commitment to value and harness the strength of diversity in opinions, perspectives, and experiences.
